The Ambassador of Bhutan to Maldives, Pema Choden, presented her credentials to the President of the Maldives, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Monday.
The president welcomed the appointment of the new ambassador and said the two countries should further explore cooperation in bilateral, regional and multilateral areas.
Pema Choden conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty the King and the Prime Minister to the President and the people of Maldives.
Pema Choden is the 10th ambassador of Bhutan to Maldives since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1984.
