The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) issued a suspension order to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Executive Director of Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited (RICBL) on Thursday.

ACC found that two officials were allegedly involved in a case concerning collusive practices surrounding the investment of RICBL’s fund of over Nu 100m in the Nubri Capital Private Limited.

The Commission has the ground to believe that there is likelihood of available evidence or witnesses being influenced, tampered or removed, thereby impeding  the investigation process.

The two will remain suspended until further notice. ACC uncovered the case after it went through the audit report of 2015 and via an anonymous complaint.
