An 18-year-old-girl was killed by an arrow, trapped to kill wild animals, in Ba-tsa village under Kana Gewog last month. The trap was set-up in their field to protect crops from wild animals by her father.

The incident took place on December 17 last year when the girl was returning home after collecting cattle. The arrow pierced through her right chest. She was found dead near the trap.

Her 53-year-old father forgot to dismantle or inform his daughter about the trap.

The father has been arrested and will be charge for negligence homicide.
