The 10th National A Division Football League ended today with Yeedzin FC emerging as the champion of the league. The Yeedzin FC, who had displayed a spectacular football since the beginning of the league, claimed the title without losing a single game during the tourney.

This season was one of the best seasons in Yeedzin FC’s career. And by defeating the defending champion Drukstar FC in the league’s last day, Yeedzin FC could not have expected a better ending.

Drukstar’s second defeat suffered at the hands of Yeedzin in this year’s league. Yeedzin won over Drukstar by 3-0 in the first round of the league.

Yesterday, they beat Drukstar by five goals to zero.

The goal fest started within few minutes after the first whistle with Yeedzin taking the lead. Soon, Yeedzin doubled their lead.

Drukstar also had the chances but they failed to capitalise.

The Opposition Leader, Tshering Tobgay, graced the closing of the league.

Yeedzin along with the title claimed a cash prize of Nu. 2,50,000. They will represent the country during the AFC President Cup next year.

Drukpol FC who stood second and Transport United FC who followed in the third position took home cash prizes of Nu. 80,000 and Nu. 50,000 respectively.
