The city bus service under the Bhutan Postal Corporation cleaned up all the city bus terminals in Thimphu Thromde, today.
The ulterior motive behind it was to create awareness among the public to keep terminals clean and free of trashes.
The clean-up campaign was led by the information and communications minister, DN Dhungyel and staff of city bus service.
Such cleaning campaigns will be replicated in future for all the bust stop areas in Thimphu.
“This has been set up as a monthly initiative now and so we will be doing it monthly basis,” said the Manager of city bus service, Passang Tshering.
The initiative was also to mark His Majesty the Third King’s Birth Anniversary and Teachers’ day.
