Police to receive salary revision starting this monthPolice will receive pay raise from this month. Earlier, the Prime Minister had announced the pay would be revised from July, this year.

During the mid-term review in Lhuentse last month, the Prime Minister had said the pay has been revised by a maximum of 38 percent.

“We have civil servants not only in the Royal Bhutan Police, but also in all three armed forces. Therefore, with regard to the payment, they even approached to me, but since we have to work according to the rule, we all know now the Royal Bhutan Police payment has been revised,” said home minister, Dawa Gyaltshen.

Lyonpo added the revision will also be for the civil servants working with the police.

The last revision for the police had been in 2011.
