Over 20 scout students and two scout masters from Baling Primary School in Trongsa walked 70 kilometres as a tribute to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo for his contribution towards environment. They took three days to reach Trongsa town.
Some 500 students from 14 different schools in Trongsa also joined them along the way.
The “Environment Walk” also had students talking to the communities they passed along the way about environment issues.
The students will be part of the 60th Birth Anniversary celebration of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
Trongsa Dzongkhag Scout Association initiated the walk.
