Man succumbs to stab injuries

ManStabbedA 27-year-old man, who was stabbed by some unidentified assailants in the early hours of Sunday morning, has died. The man is said to have succumbed to stab injuries on Tuesday, at the National Referral hospital.

Police said the man has been stabbed on his chest, waist and pelvis. The deceased was with his brother when the incident happened on Sunday around 1am near the RICBL office in the heart of Thimphu town. The brother was stabbed on his back. He was treated at National Referral Hospital and has now been discharged.

Police have detained four suspects. The stabbing is believed to have taken place following a fight between the victims and assailants.
