Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Pem Wangchuck today inaugurated the newly constructed academic building and a boys’ hostel for the Deaf Education Unit at the Drugyel Lower Secondary School in Paro.
Both the academic building and the hostel were constructed with financial assistance from PRO Bhutan, a German philanthropic association.
The Deaf Education Unit at the Drugyel Lower Secondary school was started in 2003.
Currently, there are 77 students studying at the school.
