Parops opt for Kaka Tshering

Kaka-TSheringKaka Tshering, 49, secured 2,422 votes including postal ballot. He was nominated from Wangchang Gewog.

“I shall ceaselessly strive to uphold the values that bind us as a Nation, give true meaning and essence to our quest for happiness,” he has said. He also said he intends to provide impetus to economic pursuits so that every Bhutanese is able to fulfill their god-given potential.

Kaka Tshering has worked in various agencies in the government and private sector for about two decades. He has Masters in Education.

Another contestant Kinley Dorji secured 2075 votes through EVMs and 97 through postal ballot. Ugyen Tshering secured 2164 including postal ballot. Sonam Wangchuk secured 2200 votes and Tshewang Norbu 1681 votes.
