Choosing not to vote

With just over a week left for the National Council Elections, there are some people from far-off dzongkhags living in Thimphu who are considering not voting.

They are not entitled to postal ballots, and most cannot afford making the trip to their dzongkhags to vote.

These people have said the Election Commission and other concerned authorities should look into making elections voter-friendly for people like them who live in other dzongkhags and not in the dzongkhag where their census is registered.
