Preparations are underway for the second edition of the bathing carnival in Pema Gatshel, with the three-day event set to begin this Friday. The carnival is expected to bring together communities and provide an opportunity for local producers to showcase and sell their products.

The event is being held in Telung, located about 30 kilometres from Nganglam towards Gyalpozhing, where preparations are nearing completion.
Local producers are preparing to make the most of the event by displaying their products and services. These include handmade cotton products from Dungmaed Gewog, cassava products from Chhoekhorling Gewog, and services offered by Yangbari’s Golden Masheer Eco Lodge.
Tashi Dorji of Yangbari, Gongdue Gewog, Monggar, who secured third place in the second edition of the carnival, said he earned more than Nu 100,000 during the three-day event last year and hopes to earn a similar amount this year.
