The BoB Bhutan Premier League season is entering a decisive phase. The race for the title remains open, while the relegation fight is becoming more intense. RTC FC added a new twist this week by handing Paro FC their first defeat of the season. With only a few rounds left, every match is beginning to carry added weight.

RTC FC defeated league leaders Paro FC 2–0 at their home ground yesterday. The game had initially been abandoned in the 33rd minute on Monday because of heavy rainfall and poor pitch conditions. The RTC win brings fresh momentum to the title race.

Paro FC, despite this loss, remain at the top of the table with 42 points from 15 matches. They have scored a league-high 66 goals and conceded just 12.

Thimphu City moved into second place with 33 points after a 5–0 win over Tensung FC at Changlingmithang Stadium yesterday.

They opened the scoring in the 24th minute and added four more goals before full-time, strengthening their position in the title race.

RTC FC sit close behind in third with 31 points, scoring 45 and conceding 13.

Their consistent performances have turned the title race into a thrilling three-way contest, ensuring fans will be on the edge of their seats in the coming weeks.

At the other end of the table, the relegation fight is tightening. Ugyen Academy are sixth with 13 points from 12 matches.

Tsirang FC follow with 10 points from 14 matches, while Samtse FC are on 8 and Southern City FC on 7.

Tensung FC are last with 5 points from 14 games.

For these clubs, each remaining match could be decisive.

With both the championship and relegation battles still open, the final rounds of the league are set to bring closely contested matches and results that may shape the season’s outcome.
