Paro FC continues to dominate the BoB Bhutan Premier League 2025, extending their unbeaten run with a sixth straight win. As the league reaches the halfway mark, the defending champions hold the top spot, while the race intensifies among the chasing pack.
Paro FC defeated Thimphu City FC 2-1 at the Woochu Sports Arena in Paro yesterday evening. The hosts opened the scoring in the second half. Thimphu City equalised in the 53rd minute, but Paro FC responded with the winner in the 80th minute.
With this win, Paro FC continues to dominate the league, winning all six matches so far. They have scored 19 goals and conceded just 4, earning the maximum 18 points to sit at the top of the table.
Thimphu City FC, despite the loss, stands third with 12 points, having won four and lost two matches. They’ve scored 14 goals and conceded only 4, with a healthy goal difference of 10.
In another key fixture, Transport United FC edged past RTC FC 3-2 at the RTC Artificial Turf on Thursday. Transport United led 2-0 at halftime. RTC pulled one back early in the second half, but Transport United added a third in the 62nd minute. RTC scored a late goal but fell short.
With this win, Transport United climbs to second place with 15 points from 5 wins and 1 loss. RTC FC, on the other hand, drops to fifth place with 10 points, though they maintain a strong goal difference of 12, having scored 18 goals and conceded just 6.
At the Changlimithang Stadium, BFF Academy cruised to a 6-1 win over Tensung FC. They dominated the first half with a 3-0 lead and added three more in the second half. Tensung’s only goal came from a penalty in the 60th minute.
With this result, BFF Academy now sits fourth with 11 points from three wins, two draws, and one loss. Tensung FC remains ninth in the standings with 3 points, having lost five out of six matches and with a goal difference of –12.
In another match, Ugyen Academy FC secured their first win of the season, narrowly defeating Tsirang FC 1-0 at the Ugyen Academy Artificial Turf on Saturday. The only goal came in the 25th minute. Both teams struggled to convert chances afterward.
Ugyen Academy now has 4 points, moving up to seventh place, while Tsirang FC sits at the bottom of the table with 2 points and no wins so far.
Finally, Southern City FC edged past Samtse FC 1-0 in Gelephu on Tuesday. The home side found the breakthrough in the second half.
Southern City climbs to sixth place with 7 points, while Samtse remains at 4 points, tied with Ugyen Academy but behind on goal difference.
With six rounds completed, Paro FC leads the title race with a perfect record, while Transport United and Thimphu City remain close behind. As the competition heats up, the upcoming rounds promise more exciting clashes and shifting dynamics in the league table.
The seventh round of the league will kick off today between RTC FC and BFF Academy.
