Two women under custody on suspicion of running prostitution racket – Gelephu

In Sarpang, two women are under police custody on suspicion of running a prostitution racket in Gelephu town. The women were arrested from a hotel last evening.

According to sources, one of the detained women is the hotel owner and the other has been specifically employed as a prostitute.

The Gelephu Police have been doing 24-hour patrolling after concerns were expressed on social media about growing trends of prostitution practices in Gelephu town.

Meanwhile, the Gelephu Police is investigating the case.
