BTCL closes its Head Office and Establishments in wake of COVID-19

The Management of Bhutan Tourism Corporation Limited has announced the closure of their head office and all its establishments from 27th March for an indefinite period. All its employees have been directed to work from home and take due precautions.

The management added that only a few employees would be working on their properties on a rotational basis, including the employees who have volunteered to work at Hotel Olathang, currently functioning as a quarantine facility.

The management has announced that all their employees will continue receiving their salary. The company employs over 300 people and is the oldest tourism company in the country.

The company is the first corporation in the country to announce the closure of its offices in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic. The company was also the first to offer their property as a quarantine facility to the government.
