The National Council adopted the Pay Revision Amendment Bill of Bhutan 2020 yesterday. The Bill was passed with majority votes of 20 yes from a total of 23 members present and voting.

The National Council, however, partially rejected the recommendation on the amendment of the Bill and rejected the recommendations for the commencement date of the Act and increasing the in-country children’s education allowance which were passed by the National Assembly.
