A 46-year-old woman and her 69-year-old mother were found murdered in their house at Dungkar Chiwog under Yoseltse Geog in Samtse yesterday morning.
The daughter of the 46-year-old deceased found her mother and grandmother dead in a pool of blood while she reached home for lunch from the school. The daughter immediately informed the Geog Administrative Officer (GAO). The GAO then informed the dzongkhag administration.
The Chief medical officer of Samtse, Pelgay Jamyang, examined and found that the neck vessel or the wind pipe of both the deceased were cut by a sharp object. They also found a mark of struggle in the 46-year-old woman.
Both the hand and leg of the 46-year-old woman were found tied with a rope. The briefcase and cupboard in their house were also found wide open.
Police are investigating the case. The deceased is survived by husband and four daughters.
