A 19-year-old-boy died after he was stabbed in Gyalpoizhing, Monggar last evening. According to the victim’s elder brother, he along with his two younger brothers had gone for an evening walk. On the way he stopped at a shop where he met a friend.
The elder brother claims it was during that time the suspect came and snatched the bicycle from the deceased. The victim and the youngest brother followed the suspect near the NHPC colony, where the victim was stabbed.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness said a fight broke out between the victim and the suspect over a bicycle. The eye witness also told police, he tried to stop the fight. When he couldn’t, he left the scene and returned with the victim’s elder brother. When they arrived at the spot, the deceased was found lying on the ground.
