Police and Dzongkhag officials in Paro are in search for two bodies that were washed away by the Pachhu on Tuesday.

The victims- a 22-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were washed away at around 8 pm.

The 22-year-old victim was near the river side attempting to commit suicide after she had a quarrel with her husband.

The 58-year-old stepfather then rushed to save her. But in the midst, both were washed away from the swollen river.

The 22-year-old victim has three children. She was from Lhamoizingkha while the other victim- her stepfather was from Darjeeling in India.

Police with the help of dzongkhag officials are still searching for the bodies.

Meanwhile, the police in Paro are questioning the husband of the deceased for further investigation.
