More than 50,000 devotees have gathered in Phuentsholing to receive Wang and Lung from the Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche.
Some of the devotees have come from as far as Nepal and the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
This is the second such ceremony known as Kamai Wang Lung to be conducted in the Kingdom.
The first one was administered in 1983 by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche at Kurjey in Bumthang.
