Dr. R. Nithiyanandam recognised for providing scholarships to underprivileged Bhutanese

Nithiyanandam was awarded Rigsum National Education Award in recognition for providing scholarships to underprivileged Bhutanese youth.

Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science takes more than five students every year.dr-rnithiyanandam-recognised-for-providing-scholarships-to-underprivileged-bhutanese

The students are selected by Rigsum Institute of Technical and Management Studies, a private institute in Thimphu.

Dr. R. Nithiyanandam said India as Bhutan’s friend has all the responsibility to develop Bhutan. “I am a small guy showing my responsibility as an Indian citizen to support to Bhutan’s education”

Bhutanese have been going to his college since 2010.

As of now, 35 Bhutanese youth have gone on to benefit from the scholarship.

Dr. R. Nithiyanandam spent about 5 M to educate them.
