Colonel Chimi Dorji, the new Chief of Police

 

His Majesty The King appointed Colonel Chimi Dorji as the new Chief of Police, yesterday.

Colonel Chimi Dorji, 56, from Haa was serving as the Deputy Chief of Police.

He joined the service in 1985 and is also a recipient of Drukpai Norbui Yoeser medal.

His Majesty The King appoints the Chief of Police upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister.

His Majesty The King also promoted 12 senior armed force personnel to the rank of Colonel yesterday.

His Majesty The King granted congratulatory scarf to the officers from the Army, police and Royal Body Guards.
