Dechen Wangdi from Royal Bodyguard and Yangden, a highlander from Laya are the winners of the first ever snowman run in Gasa. The 53 kilometre run began from Gasa Tshachu and ended in Laya.
The two-day cross country race, organised at an altitude of over 4,000 metres ended yesterday. The race was a part of the three-highland festival in Laya which began today.
Over 100 participants took part in the race. The festival is expected to bring together highlanders from other parts of the country to exchange values, knowledge and skills among Highlanders.
