A 39-year-old man had to be airlifted from Haa this morning, after a bear mauled him.
The bear is said to have attacked him at 6 this morning when the man was working in his field in Bebji under Sombaykha Gewog.
Since his village is located far away from the nearest Basic Health Unit, the patient was airlifted to the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu.
Doctors said the patient suffered multiple injuries on the scalp, face, and body.
He is in a stable condition.
