ConManA 30-year-old man is in Thimphu police custody for allegedly conning a couple, last month. He supposedly took Nu 200,000 from the couple promising them visa to work in the United States of America.

The suspect had put up a Facebook post, advertising a requirement of candidates to work in California in the US, to which the couple had responded. They later met the man in Thimphu and he asked them for the money.

The couple became suspicious after the Skype interview, which the suspect said will be done to process visa, never happened.

Police said the suspect confessed to the crime.

He was apprehended Monday.
