Bhutan’s Foreign ministry said they are in touch with Thai authorities to verify the reports of a man, allegedly Bhutanese, found dead in Bangkok.

The deceased is believed to have ingested drugs wrapped in dozens of condom and died after one burst.

Thai media reported saying the 46-year-old man’s body, which was stuffed in a bag, was fished out from a canal.

A newspaper in Thailand, The Nation, says the man could have been a member of drug-trafficking gang. The paper has named five other Bhutanese, who supposedly belonged to the same gang.
