Representatives from Bhutan and India met to finalise the repair and reconstruction of pillars at the Bhutan-Indo border. There are 1,985 pillars along the Phuengtsholing and neighbouring Indian town, Jaigoan’s border.
The meeting was to seal the work plan to resume reconstruction and repair. The representatives decided that a joint-inspection will be carried out on December 21 for the further course of action.
Some of the pillars are said to be severely damaged.
