Tsimasham Police, under Chhukha Dzongkhag, is said to have arrested two men and a woman, suspected of smuggling seven kilograms of gold, earlier this week.
Some sources, BBS spoke to, said the suspects had tried to run away after disposing off the gold in the nearby forest.
The police was able to recover the gold from the forest and later arrested the suspects.
However, BBS is yet to get the confirmation from the police. They are waiting for an approval from the higher authority to give out the information, we were told.
