Bhutan’s football team lands at Qatar

Bhutan National Football Team reached Qatar today to play their second away game in the second round of the World Cup qualifier.

Bhutan will be playing against Qatar at Jassim Bin Hamaad Stadium on Thursday.

Bhutan is currently ranked at 164 in the FIFA rankings, and Qatar at 95. Prior to Bhutan team’s arrival in Qatar, the team trained intensively ,for over a week, in Kuwait. A friendly game was also played against Cambodia.kuwait-1

Bhutan’s last two performances in the second round has been forgettable one. Bhutan has conceded the highest goals in the round and is placed last in its group. Qatar sits at third place in the group with one win from one match played.
