Price of petrol and diesel in the country has been reduced following the reduction in India. A press release from the trade department says the price of petrol has been reduced by Nu 2 a litre. Diesel will be cheaper by over Nu 3.
A litre of petrol will cost Nu 61.95 in Thimphu and 60.02 in Phuentshogling. A litre of diesel will cost Nu 45.48 in Phuentshogling and Nu 47.12 in Thimphu.
Officials say this is the highest reduction in the fuel prices in the recent times. The new prices will be effective from midnight today.
