No adulteration of fuel in Trongsa, tests revealTest results show no adulteration of fuel in the underground fuel storage of Bhutan Oil Corporation in Trongsa. The lab results, which came from the economic affairs ministry, say there was no trace of water content in the fuel.

Trade officials from Trongsa had sent fuel samples to the ministry, following a breakdown of two vehicles, after they had refueled from the BOC on July 9.

The office had also sealed the 20,000-litre diesel tank until the lab results arrived.

The regional trade director, Aiman Mahat said they will not impose any penalty on BOC after the findings.

However, the fuel sample sent from one of trucks that broke down, shows water content in the fuel.

Trade officials suspect the presence of water in the truck even before the driver had refueled.

Aiman Mahat said all the fuel tanks have been cleaned thoroughly and the sealed tank has been unsealed.
