RBP appeals to the football fans to maintain decorumRoyal Bhutan Police (RBP) is appealing to the football fans to maintain decorum during the second qualifier of the World Cup, Bhutan against China, tomorrow. The Chief of Police, Brigadier Kipchu Namgyel says public must behave even if Bhutan loses.

“Even if we lose, we have nothing to be upset about. I would like to appeal to the general public not to take law into their hand or unnecessarily abuse players and referees.”

He said the entire stadium is connected with CCTV and there will be strict monitoring. “Police in plain clothes will be watching and anyone found violating the laws will be arrested on the spot.”

RBP is also requesting the public not to bring knives, batons or sticks, water and juice bottles with caps intact and fruits like apples and oranges.
