The 14-year-old boy, accused of raping a five-year old girl in Samtse, was arrested from a nearby forest in Doomtoed at 10 PM, yesterday. Police said he had gone hiding after a medical examination by the Doomtoed Basic Health Unit confirmed that the five-year-old girl child was raped.
The accused, a 14-year-old class-six student also confessed to raping the girl after victim’s mother confronted him, says our Samtse Correspondent, Sonam Phuntsho.
BBS also found out that the accused is related to the victim.
The incident had taken place on Saturday at 2 PM. The girl’s family had filed a case against the accused with Dophuchen Police Station, the same day.
