A valuable elephant tusk measuring 5 feet 7 inches long, along with other valuable ornaments, were stolen from a Lhakhang at Walakha in Guma Gewog under Punakha. The incident happened Friday night.
Police said the miscreants had entered the Lhakhang after breaking the bolt.
The Royal Bhutan Police says anyone who gives information about culprits will be rewarded Nu.50,000.
