Escaped convicts arrested from Bey Langdra

ConvictsThe police have caught the three convicts, who had escaped from the Police lockup of Wangdue Phodrang. They were arrested from Bey Langdra in Wangdue Phodrang, earlier today.

A press release from the RBP says the police were able to catch them after an informer alerted the police about the convicts’ whereabouts.
The release say the informer will be rewarded Nu.30,000 as promised.

The release goes on to say a thorough investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken against them.

“Steps to prevent such incidences in the future shall be implemented,” says the release.
