Trashigang District CourtTwo men have been sentenced to life imprisonment by Trashigang District Court for vandalising a Jangchub Chorten in Sa-yum village under Phongmey Gewog.

Trashigang District Court also upheld the judgment passed by Wamrong Dungkhag court where two men were sentenced to life imprisonment for vandalising a Chorten in Khaling. Dissatisfied with the Dungkhang Court’s verdict, one of the accused had appealed to the Dzongkhag Court in Trashigang.

The verdict upholding the judgment was passed on December 24. The convict has now appealed to the High Court.
