Large turnout in Kanglung for the National Day celebrationScores of people are in Kanglung, Trashigang, to be with His Majesty to observe the National Day, tomorrow. All the hotels have been booked out, every home is flooded with relatives and friends and over a hundred are staying in pitched tents outside.

Even the hotels in Trashigang have been booked out with many people coming from the nearby dzongkhags to be part of the celebration.

People continue to pour and the Trashigang dzongkhag continue to pitch tents to accommodate them.

They will be provided food, during their course of stay.

The classrooms and halls of the Sherubtse College have been fitted with television sets so that those, who cannot be accommodated in the college ground, can watch the LIVE telecast of the National Day. The officials are expecting more people to come in.

Except for the vehicles on duty, the Trashigang-Kanglung highway will be closed to traffic tomorrow.
