Over 500 acres of forest cover has been destroyed by a fire in Jarrey Gewog in Lhuntse. The fire, which continues to rage, is spreading towards Zangkhar village. The fire is said to be ignited by sparks produced by falling boulders. Forest officials say rocky terrain is making it difficult to douse the fire.
