Ngawang Gyeltshen from Motithang Higher Secondary school won the essay competition organized by the Nehru-Wangchuck Cultural Centre. He bagged the cash prize of Nu.25,000. Kinga Tashi Wangmo, also from the same school, was the first runners-up and was awarded Nu.15, 000. The third prize went to Tshering Yangzom of Yangchenphug Higher Secondary school. She took home a cash prize of Nu.10, 000. They wrote on “His Majesty the Fourth King: Bhutan’s Neighborhood Policy”.140 students from 12 schools in Thimphu took part in the competition.
