Domestic flights to Gelegphu are expected to resume by January next year.
The Information and Communications’ Minister, D.N Dhungyel, in the National Assembly today, said the terminal building and air traffic control tower are being constructed. He said they are expected to be completed by the beginning of next year.
Close to Nu.10 MN is being allocated for the maintenance of the air strip and other infrastructure development.
Meanwhile, the maintenance works of the Yonphula Domestic Airport is expected to complete only by the end of 2016.
