(Update): A 29-year-old man from Tsirang was apprehended, after the 17-year-old girl allegedly abandoned her newborn baby in Lhuentse earlier this week.
The man was apprehended from Sarpang, after the girl claimed that he was the father of the child.
Both mother and the baby girl are currently in Lhuentse Hospital. The baby is said to be in a stable condition now.
According to the sources, the teenager had given birth at 8:45 PM on Monday. The infant was found at around 2:45PM on Wednesday.
