BearMual-kangparA bear mauled a 34-year-old man from in Kangpar Gewog in Trashigang. He suffered major injuries on his right eye. He is undergoing treatment at JDWNR Hospital in Thimphu.

The man was looking for his missing cattle in Sangshing Brangsa, seven hours walk from the Kangpar Gewog centre, when he was attacked. The incident took place between 9-11 AM, last week.

After the attack, the man could manage to walk to his fellow herder’s place, who then called for help.
