Barshong Gewog in Tsirang will soon get a Hindu temple. The construction is in full swing. And it is the locals who are constructing the temple themselves.
The construction began in April this year. With gewog providing Nu. 550,000 for the construction, locals volunteered to construct the temple.

They also formed a committee. The committee expects to complete the construction of the one storied Hindu temple by this month.
Without a Hindu temple in the gewog now, the locals of Barshong Gewog in Tsirang go all the way to Damphu or Mendrelgang to conduct religious rituals.
Once complete, the temple will benefit about 230 households.
