Drukyul Taekwondo Club from Thimphu won the first ever invitational taekwondo championship which was played over the weekend in Thimphu. Bodoland Taekwondo Club from Assam stood second, and Thimphu Taekwondo Club third. A total of 150 students took part in the championship, including participants from West Bengal, Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, Jaigaon and Darjeeling in India.
