Korean films of different genres, including classic, were screened at the City Cinema in Thimphu

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Lee Yun Young, delegates from the Korean Embassy in Dhaka and representatives from Korea International Corporation Agency attended the opening, yesterday.

A release from the information and communications ministry says, the Korean International Corporation Agency (KOICA) has agreed to take up numerous activities, related to films. It says KOICA is also working on the invitational programme, which will make it possible for the professionals in the film industry to attend trainings in advanced cinematography, lighting and sound in Korea.

Two Korean Film festivals have successfully been organised consecutively in 2011 and 2012.

The festival was jointly organised by the Department of Information and Media under the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Embassy for the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh.
