After the caretaker of the Gelegphu hot spring failed to pay a fine of Nu.100,000 for possessing a female Tokay Gecko, the case has been forwarded to the Gelegphu Dungkhag Court. He had agreed to pay the penalty by November 28, this year.
The female Tokay Gecko was seized from his house in October this year. The lizard was brought from Samdrupcholing in Samdrup Jongkhar.
