ChasingOverseasDreamsThe temptation to work abroad is growing among Bhutanese, especially, when many Bhutanese are returning home from overseas with a small fortune. Bhutanese are dreaming of going abroad to be able to return and buy a plot of land in the city, a flat and maybe even build a house.

In the coming years, about 30,000 Bhutanese will go abroad to work. How will they fare in a new land? Will they be exposed to exploitation? What are their rights? the Employment Director of the Labour and Human Resources Ministry, Jamyang Galey, and the National Council’s social and cultural affairs committee member, MP Tashi Dorji were in the studio for the discussion.
