PM meets the Ambassador of China

PM+Ambassador-China-Wei WeiThe Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in New Delhi, Mr.Wei Wei, called on the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang, this morning.

During the meeting, Lyonchhen said the people and the Royal Government of Bhutan value and attach high importance to its relations with the people and the government of PRC.

Lyonchhen expressed his satisfaction on the growing cordial relations without diplomatic relations between the two countries and said that the people-to-people exchanges contributed significantly to the development of tourism, trade and other areas of shared interest.

The Ambassador thanked Lyonchhen for his views and said that they respect and treasure the friendly relations with Bhutan.

The Ambassador added that he places high hopes on enhancing cooperation and strengthening friendship in all times to come.

Mr. Wei Wei also informed Lyonchhen that Bhutan and China share common aspirations and he looked forward to working in close consultation with Bhutan on issues of mutual interests and concerns.

Lyonchhen thanked the Ambassador and wished the delegation a pleasant stay in Bhutan.
