Nanong-Shumar vote for their NA representative

Nanong-Shumar-by-election2013.The people of Nanong-Shumar constituency in Pema Gatshel have started to vote to elect their representative for the National Assembly today. According to our reporter, Pema Namgay, voters have started coming in as early as 8 am.

The constituency was declared vacant after the resignation of former Prime Minister, Jigmi Y Thinley, on August 11 this year.

Thirty one-year-old Dechen Zangmo from Bangtsho village under Zobel Gewog will contest the by-election for Nanong-Shumar Constituency representing Druk Phuensum Tshogpa.

Thirty four-year old Pema Wangchuk, from Nanong village is the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate for Nanong-Shumar Constituency in Pema Gatshel.
